Central Vietnam is extremely rich in Cham and Vietnamese history as well as heritage. The area near Hue was the first capital of the long forsaken but mighty Champa Empire, while Hue itself was the glittering imperial capital of the last Vietnamese Dynasty. The beautiful My Son Valley is dotted with sacred remains of the ancient Cham civilization while charming Hoi An Old Town, which used to be a major Southeast Asian trading port, is seeped in maritime history. This region is not just for history buffs- some of the best beaches, amazing coastal scenery, gastronomical and shopping treats can be found here.
Thanks to Diana for sharing their photos of their Ijen Crater, Mt Bromo and Surabaya tour. It's always nice to see guests and guide having fun during their trip. Special appreciation to Diana and friends for their thoughtfulness in bringing Bengawan Solo cookies and Old Chang Kee to share with our friends at Indonesia. 🙂
Sharing some photos of Takako and her daughters at Mt Agung, the tallest volcano at Bali Island! Legend has it that Mt Agung is a fragment of Mt Meru brought to Bali by the first Hindus. Thanks to Takako for letting us plan for her trip. 🙂

Looking for a respite from Singapore's hot weather?
How about going on a refreshing waterfall hike like XiuQing and friends?
It sure looks like they had a splashing good time at the Pelepah Falls!
Many thanks to XiuQing and friends for sharing your photos with us!
