Improvise and compete with each other to see who can find the most number of graffiti art pieces (“Children on Bicycle”, “Child Reaching Out”, “Dolls”, “Bruce Lee Kicking”, etc. Have a break in between savoring Penang’s famous Teochew Chendol. Replenish your lost calories at Joo Hooi Café along Jalan Penang where you can try out the delicious local cuisines like  Assam Laksa, Hokkien Mee and Kueh Pie Tee, etc. Take a peek into the opulent lifestyle and culture of Babas from a century ago. The mansion turned museum, Pinang Peranakan Mansion which exhibits over a thousand priceless artifacts was the typical home of wealthy Babas (aka Peranakans and Nyonyas) who adopted lifestyles of local Malays and colonial British. Thereafter, we will visit the Clan Jetties which formed an important part of the Penang Heritage Trail. There used to be seven jetties until one was demolished by fire and now six remain. Billed as one of the last bastions of old Chinese settlements on the island, this waterfront society is home to houses on stilts of various Chinese clans. Each jetty is named after a Chinese clan (for example Chew Jetty, Lee Jetty, Yeoh Jetty, etc) and still remains home to a number of families.  Started merely as a wooden passageway and slowly evolved into a cluster of houses perch above the sea by stilts, this communal site is locked in a time warp, disregarding the urban development around it. For dinner, immerse in the local street food culture at New Lane Hawker Center.
