ITINERARY
Day 01
SINGAPORE – SURABAYA – CEMORO LAWANG
Fly from Singapore to Juanda International Airport in Surabaya. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly guide and transferred to Cemoro Lawang (approx. 3.5 hrs. drive), a charming mountain village perched on the edge of the Tengger caldera and the gateway to Mount Bromo. Check in hotel and rest early in preparation for the sunrise excursion the following morning.

Day 02
MOUNT BROMO – MADAKARIPURA WATERFALL – BONDOWOSO
At around 3am, receive a wake-up call for the unforgettable Mount Bromo sunrise hike. An exhilarating 4WD ride brings you to Gunung Penanjakan (2,770 m) on the edge of the Tengger Crater rim, the highest viewpoint to witness the sunrise. As you ascend, the darkness slowly gives way to a kaleidoscope of color, transforming the sky into a canvas of vibrant hues. Stand on the edge of the volcanic caldera as the sun emerges, casting golden light across the Sea of Sand and illuminating Mount Bromo with a halo of fire and smoke. After savoring the sunrise, continue your journey on the 4WD across the Sand Sea to Poten Temple, a charming Tenggerese Hindu temple beside Mount Bromo. From Poten, choose between a 3 km hike or a pony ride to reach the base of Mount Bromo, then ascend 253 steep steps for a close-up view of the crater rim. Thereafter, proceed to Madakaripura Waterfall (approx. 1 hr drive) one of Indonesia’s tallest and most dramatic waterfalls. Upon arrival, embark on a short, exhilarating walk through a tropical jungle and across cool rivers, guided by the soothing sounds of nature. As you approach the falls, you will be greeted by the awe-inspiring sight of water cascading from towering cliffs, surrounded by lush green walls. Afterwards, continue the scenic journey east to Bondowoso (approx. 4–5 hours).

Day 03
BONDOWOSO – IJEN CRATER – SURABAYA
Begin with an early wake-up call at 2am for the unforgettable Ijen night hike. A scenic 45-minute drive takes you to the Ijen ranger post, where your 1–1.5 hour trek begins under a starry sky. At the crater rim, witness the surreal glow of ignited sulfuric gas—the famous blue flames—and gaze upon the 200-meter-deep turquoise lake, one of the most acidic on Earth. Marvel at the incredible determination of miners carrying 70 kg sulfur-laden sacks through the rugged volcanic terrain. As the sun rises, the sky transforms into a brilliant canvas of colors, enhancing the turquoise lake and surrounding peaks. After returning to your hotel for a well-deserved breakfast, continue your journey back to Surabaya Airport (approx. 5-6 hr drive) for your flight home.
