ITINERARY

Day 01

SINGAPORE – VIENTIANE

Upon arrival in Vientiane, you’ll be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Your afternoon city exploration begins with Wat Sisaket, the oldest surviving temple in Vientiane, renowned for its thousands of tiny Buddha statues. Directly across the street stands Haw Pha Kaew, once the royal temple and now a fascinating museum showcasing Laos’ rich heritage. Next, marvel at Phra That Luang, Laos’ most sacred monument and a powerful symbol of national pride and Buddhism. Your day concludes at the iconic Patuxai Monument, a triumphal arch reminiscent of Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, offering great photo opportunities. Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening.

Day 02

VIENTIANE – XIENG KHOUANG – PLAIN OF JARS

After breakfast, catch a short flight to Xieng Khouang Province, home to the mysterious Plain of Jars. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and freshen up before exploring the ancient stone jars. Begin with Site Two, a smaller cluster set amid open countryside with panoramic views. Continue to Site Three, perched on slightly elevated ground, where the landscape tells stories of the region’s turbulent past. Visit Ban Naphia, a Tai Phuan village where artisans craft everyday items from aluminum salvaged from unexploded ordnance—a unique glimpse into local resilience and creativity. Finally, explore Site One, the largest and most impressive of all the jar sites, leaving you in awe of these enigmatic relics.

Day 03

XIENG KHOUANG – VIENTIANE – LUANG PRABANG

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Vientiane. Upon arrival, your guide will take you to the train station to board the modern high-speed train to Luang Prabang, a comfortable and scenic journey of approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and settle in before the evening at leisure.

Day 04

LUANG PRABANG 

Begin your day with a visit to a charming riverside retreat just ten minutes from town, where you’ll discover the cultural significance of bamboo in Lao life. Learn how it is used in household items, musical instruments, and fishing tools, and try your hand at weaving a simple bamboo mat under the guidance of a local artisan. Later, participate in a hands-on cooking class featuring bamboo-inspired dishes such as bamboo shoot soup, steamed bamboo parcels, and a delicious bamboo shoot dip. In the late afternoon, embark on a serene sunset cruise with River Sun, taking in the gentle river scenery as the day draws to a close.

Day 05

LUANG PRABANG 

Rise early to witness the mesmerizing Takbat alms ceremony, where saffron-robed monks collect offerings in a centuries-old ritual. Afterward, stroll through a lively morning market and sample exotic fruits and local snacks. Explore Luang Prabang’s UNESCO-listed old town, visiting the exquisite Wat Xieng Thong temple and the National Museum (the former Royal Palace) with its elegant collection of Lao art and historical artifacts. In the afternoon, drive approximately 50 minutes to the stunning Kuang Si Falls, where you can swim in turquoise pools or simply wander along scenic trails. On the return journey, stop at the bear sanctuary to see rescued animals thriving in a safe environment, and visit the Buffalo Dairy Farm to enjoy the serene countryside.

Day 06

LUANG PRABANG – VIENTIANE

Start your day with a climb up Phousi Mount, a 100-meter hill in the heart of Luang Prabang offering panoramic views of the Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. Then, board a scenic boat for a journey along the Mekong to the Pak Ou Caves, famously known as the “Cave of 1,000 Buddhas,” where generations of locals have contributed countless small statues. Along the way, visit a riverside village and sample Lao-Lao, the local rice spirit, if offered. After returning by boat, board the high-speed train to Vientiane. Upon arrival, a driver will escort you to your hotel for a restful evening.

VIENTIANE – SINGAPORE

Enjoy a leisurely morning at your own pace, perhaps picking up last-minute souvenirs or enjoying a local coffee. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight back to Singapore, taking home memories of Laos’ rich culture, natural beauty, and fascinating history.
