At 2,110m, Mount Irau is the ninth highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. The 4 hours trek up to the summit at 2110 metres through a unique terrain of forest covered with green moss will take you through beautiful picturesque views of the neighbouring Ipoh city, as well as sightings of the plentiful huge pitcher plants growing on trees. Coupled with the excellent refreshing cool weather, many of our fellow hikers have agreed that this hike is akin to walking through the movie set of Lord of the Rings. The numerous distinct markers of Pahang and Perak that are seen along the way will remind you of the unique position of this mountain, situated between the two states. Join us today in a small group climb to the mountain!

Meeting Time and Venue: 730am pick up from your lodge in Tanah Rata (Cameron Highlands)

Expected Group Size: 3-4 pax

Itinerary

730am – Pick up from your lodge in Tanah Rata (Cameron Highlands)

800am – Arrival at Mount Irau’s trailhead

1230pm – Reach summit, have lunch and take a short break while enjoying the scenery.

1300pm – Start descend

1730pm – Expected completion of the climb and transfer back to your lodge.

Please note that all timings are estimated and subjected to actual ground conditions.

Cost: SGD 95 per pax

Price includes:

• Two way transport between lodge in Tanah Rata (Cameron highlands) and Mt Irau’s trail head

• Mountain guide fees

• Travel insurance

• All meals

• Accommodations at Tanah Rata (Cameron Highlands)

• All expenses of a personal nature

Important Note:

Mount Irau is a challenging and strenuous climb. Hikers should be of good fitness with trekking experience (e.g. Mount Ophir) and be comfortable with walking on steep slopes and uneven terrain for a duration of around 8-10 hrs each day.

Due to the small group size, registration confirmation will be on a first come first served basis.
